6 Quick Ways To Spruce Up Your Space

Having spent months indoors, many of us have been getting creative and finding projects to do within the home. From Spring cleaning to painting, to working out at home, and improving our cooking skills there’s probably nothing we haven’t tried. Staying indoors is the best way to stay safe during the global pandemic, but the social beings that we are, it hasn’t been an easy ride. There are a limited number of things you can do indoors and life surely does become mundane.

It also isn’t easy staying indoors and being surrounded by the same environment and scenery and everything appears to become dull. The solution? We found that changing the environment and sprucing up your space can help to change things up a bit. If you think you’d like to give it a try, we’ve rounded up a few things you can do to spruce up your space.

If you already have plants at home, why not add some more? And if you don’t, then bringing home some indoor plants is the perfect way to add some colour to your space. Plants are also a great way to neutralise your space and create a healthy environment. Plants are also a great accessory for the home because they are known to purify the air and make breathing easier. You can also change the placement of your plants on a regular basis to change up your view.

There are a number of printable wall stencils that can be found online and downloaded and used on any wall in the house. These are particularly great if you want to redecorate a child’s space.

If you do head out, get your hands on some photo frames, preferably of different heights. These are easy to find in any charity shops or even any home store. Pick up some cans of spray paint in a variety of colours. Neon is a great way to revamp the space if you’re going for a bold look. Different coloured frames will add a luxe feel to your space so why not give this option a try.

You’d be surprised what a change one statement piece can make to your home. This could be a chair, a sofa, a mirror or a coffee table. Statement doesn’t necessarily mean expensive. It could be something you find on Amazon, at a charity store or even in your garage. Or it could even be a piece you already own which you could revamp with a new coat of paint, a change of colour or reupholstering.

Add cushions

You could opt for cushions with bold prints, colours and fabrics; whatever takes your fancy. You could even opt to make your own cushion covers with spare fabric you have lying around or fabric you could pick up at any home store.

There’s a variety of rugs available out there, be it plain, furry, bright or textured. If your furniture is minimalistic and subtle, then opt for a bright rug to add a pop of colour to your space.
