Aakhir Kab Tak Episode 20: Nasir And Noor’s Relationship Takes a Leap Forward

Some dramas arrive like a breath of fresh air and “Aakhir Kab Tak” is one such show. This is a show based on an assault victim, but refrains from emphasizing misery – rather, it’s a show that highlights hope and the light at the end of the tunnel. “Aakhir Kab Tak” shows how important a supportive partner is, giving Pakistani drama fans some of the strongest, most supportive male characters in recent times, and shows how women can find strength and move forward despite their circumstances. Starring Ushna Shah, Srha Asghar, Haroon Shahid, Adeel Hussain, Javeria Abbasi, Shahood Alvi, Gul E Rana and others, the story has been written by Radain Shah and directed by Syed Ali Raza Usama.

In episode 20, Noor (Ushna Shah) is attacked by her ex-employees who attempt to set her car on fire. Fortunately, Nasir (Adeel Hussain) arrives to help her out of the mess and take her to safety. This relationship between Nasir and Noor is currently the highlight of the show. Nasir may be a cop who takes bribes and doesn’t follow the straight-and-arrow path, but he’s a good man at heart and genuinely loves Noor. Noor and Nasir are equals and they stand shoulder to shoulder. While Noor has always had to stand strong for her family, it’s a beautiful moment when, while Noor’s father is in the hospital, Noor rests her head on Nasir’s shoulder, realizing he is the one person in her life who she can count on to support her emotionally– as opposed to her family, for whom she is the rock. Adeel Hussain and Ushna Shah share such natural chemistry, it truly feels as though they are Noor and Nasir and the audience is watching them fall in love.

Nasir also comes to the rescue of Saim (Haroon Shahid) and Fajr’s (Srha Asghar) relationship, despite being a stranger to them. On Noor’s request, he visits Saim to speak to him in a scene which begins on a hilarious note as Saim tries to figure out why this intrusive cop has barged into his office unannounced. Both Adeel Hussain and Haroon Shahid are in top form in this scene. Later, they share a heart to heart as Nasir tries to explain to Saim that Fajr never asked for a divorce and he needs to look deeper into this misunderstanding, discreetly stating that Saim’s mother is behind these misunderstandings. While initially angry at the suggestion, Saim realizes, after speaking to Fajr, that foul play is definitely involved. Saim is another great character. While he has been off-the-mark regarding his mother, it’s understandable that a man would have a hard time seeing his own mother as manipulative. But now he is back, firmly by Fajr’s side.

The four main leads have been doing a wonderful job in “Aakhir Kab Tak.” It’s rare to see two equally interesting, realistic, root-worthy love stories in the same show, but both Nasir-Noor and Fajr-Saim are two beautiful couples, each with a different charm. With Nasir now ready to marry Noor, will Noor, being the “head” of her family, agree? And will Fajr finally fill Saim in on the whole truth about her past? That remains to be seen, but “Aakhir Kab Tak” is leaving its competition miles behind in terms of content, leading the pack.
