Just last week, members of the Bachchan family were tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan were all positive for the virus. Fans and friends of the famed family took to social media to send well wishes to the family in hopes for a speedy recovery.
And now, prayers have been answered and it appears that Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan are cleared of the virus, as confirmed by Abishek Bachchan. The actor took to Twitter to announce the news. Taking to Twitter he wrote, “”Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home.” He went on to add, “My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”

The mother-daughter duo was admitted to hospital after they were reportedly having trouble breathing. They had initially remained in self quarantine but a local Indian daily reported that they were moved to Nanavati Hospital after they complained of breathlessness.
Earlier, reports of Amitabh Bachchan being tested negative too were circulating on social media which he rubbished via social media. Reports turned out to be fake and he still remains in hospital with Abishek Bachchan. Taking to Twitter he wrote, “this news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE.”
The Bachchan family remains to be one of the most influential and loved families of Bollywood.
