Professional Pakistani mountain climber, Ali Sadpara went missing in earlier February while attempting a winter summit of the second-highest peak in the world, K2. Also known as the Savage Mountain, Sadpara was with fellow mountaineers, John Snorri and Juan Pablo Mohr, when the trio was last spotted at the bottleneck (Danger Zone) by Sajid Ali Sadpara, who returned to the base camp following an issue with his oxygen regulator. Almost two weeks have passed and there is still no news of him. From Pakistani celebrities to social media users, everyone has been long praying and waiting for Sadpara’s miraculous return. Paying tribute to the 45-year-old legend, musician Ali Zafar has crooned an emotional song and music video.
The sentimental and touching lyrics of Zafar’s song tug at our heartstrings, accompanied by a rather heartwarming video, which features glimpses of Sadpara’s achievements, including the first-ever successful winter summit of Nanga Parbat, back in 2016. Both his teammates, Alex Txicon and Simone Moro, told several news channels that they could not have done it without Sadpara.
Women Are Being Coerced To Speak Against Ali Zafar, Claims Industry Insider
Zafar’s rendition of the song Paharon Ki Qasam, originally sung by Kamal Masood, has been produced by his self-owned banner Lightingale Records. The lyrics read, “Tere Anay Ki Khabar Na Asaki. Yaad Teri Dil Se Bhi Na Ja Saki,” which translate to, “We haven’t received any news about your return. Your memory can never leave our hearts. We will keep waiting for you, so return for the mountains’ sake.” The video also quotes the wise words of former US first lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who once said, “The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste, experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” Posting the tribute on Facebook, Zafar wrote, “No nation can thrive without recognising and celebrating their heroes. Ali Sadpara was one such unsung hero who dedicated his entire life and risked it to accomplish unprecedented feats for his country. This is the least I could do: sing for an unsung hero so that he is etched into our memories for as long as there is music.” Zafar has been receiving ample praise for his reworked version of Paharon Ki Qasam.
