Ali Zafar’s Rap Battle Going Full Steam Ahead

Singer Ali Zafar is undoubtedly one of the leading stars of Pakistani entertainment. Often serving as an inspiration to budding artists, who hold a strong penchant for music, the Channo singer announced a rap battle last month, under the banner of Lightingale Records. Following an overwhelming response in terms of signup entries into the completion, Zafar decided to shortlist 30 participants instead of three finalists, with professional rappers being roped in as the judges. He previously tweeted, “I had shared a video earlier announcing my #BhaeeHazirHai rap competition where I said we’d pick out three of the best rappers from the entries we receive.”

Zafar continued, “But you guys exceeded my expectations with your raps, lyrics and even videos. You also made things more difficult for me because we’ve received more than a thousand entries, so how can I just select three?” Fast forward one month, and the rap battle is going full steam ahead, with Zafar having already announced the top contenders in his most recent Facebook post.

He captioned it, “Look at the talent.” Zafar reposted Lightingale Records’ post, which read, “Drum Rolls! Presenting Top 10 Winners of Hazir Hai Rap Battle. Congratulations to all 30 Winners! Welcome to the Lightingale family. All winners were selected purely on merit after marked individually by our judges Ahmad Ali Butt, Fakhr-e-Alam, and Lazarus). Lightingale had no role in deciding. Those who could not make it, do not think you are any less. Bhaee loves you all. Now the real battle begins!” It added, “The Top 30 will fight for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in a LIVE RAP BATTLE.”
