Ali Zafar’s Thoughtful Notes on Winning the Pride of Performance

A true star and go-getter, musician Ali Zafar has a never-ending line of fans who have had his back through his ups and downs, good times and bad times, and hits and flops. Not just his followers, but his family members have also been his biggest support system. The singer weighed in on the same after receiving the Pride of Performance award for his contribution to the entertainment industry, on March 23 this year. Penning his thoughts after being presented with the prize, Zafar wrote on Twitter, “Nothing means more than the joy your loved ones feel for your accomplishments. I still remember the days my mother made me practice for debating competitions for hours as a child in school just so I could gain confidence for public speaking.”

He continued, “Thank you Amma.” Zafar posted a string of pictures alongside the caption, with one of the images being with his mother and wife. Not one to forget his diehard fan base, the Teefa in Trouble actor then uploaded another Twitter post, which read, “Some thoughts, some love and some gratitude. #AZWritings.”

While he penned a long note for the world to read, an excerpt read, “Don’t let negative people or negative thoughts consume you. Keep pushing forward, keep moving on with a smile on your face, love in your heart and most importantly, work hard.” Coming to family ties, he noted, “Always love and respect your parents and those who were there for you in your times of trouble. I promise you, you will be rewarded in your time. The only reason for that not happening would be if and when you have doubts in your mind. Never doubt. Learn to connect with the ONE who created you and creates all.” He concluded with, “Remember, you deserve to be happy, you deserve to be successful and you deserve to live. Never compromise on that.”
