The American Music Awards were held on November 22, 2020, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, acknowledging the most popular artists and albums of 2020. The extravaganza featured a bevy of A-lister moments, with Jennifer Lopez’s act standing out from them all – but for all the wrong reasons. As soon as pictures from the annual event went viral on the internet, social media users could not help but point out the uncanny resemblance between Lopez’s Pa Mi and Lonely with Maluma performance to that of Beyonce’s Drunk In Love routine back in 2014. Twitter users took notice of Lopez’s sheer black outfit and glossy locks hairdo, claiming that her overall look was copied from Queen Bey.

Yes there was alot of similarities between J.LO's 2020 #AMAs performance & Beyoncè 's 2014 DIL Grammy performance – However the One major difference that no one seems to be talking about is……………….. Beyoncè's Microphone was actually ON !!! During her performance. pic.twitter.com/NLFyq7JYoa

@JLo you didn’t even try to change it a lil bit? You think we’d just not notice 😂 You stole the entire look and performance from Beyoncé’s Grammy performance. I mean the hair, hair color, the chair, outfit, lighting, color and crawl on top of the piano. #JLO #AMAs @Beyonce

Both ladies of them are original, and both #JLO and #Beyonce can dance their behinds off. Both are talented. Won't go any further than that……but yes both have talent. #AMAs

Now I'm mad because I went and watched the performance to see what was so similar! A hair cut & black outfit shouldn't be enough to draw comparisons but here we are. No offence, but that #AMAs performance was as dry as the Sahara compared to Beyoncé's 2014 Grammy comeback! https://t.co/0c2t1KwLHO
