Even as Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has just recovered from the coronavirus infection at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai and has returned home, there is a buzz about one of his upcoming projects and it is rather fresh off the oven.
Sources in the film trade are speaking about the director Vikas Bahl of Super 30 fame planning a film with Bachchan as well as the actress from Heropanti and Lukachuppi – Kriti Sanon. Bahl is keen to start a film at the earliest once Bachchan gets better and wraps up the pending work and promotions for a long list of films. Kriti and Bachchan were seen promoting a health programme a few months ago called Swasth India.
“Amitabh already has to promote films like Jhund and Chehre which are ready. Then he has to shoot the balance portions of Brahmastra. But then there are no other films locked. If Bachchan, who also has to figure out what happens to this season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, finds time to do a fresh project it could be with the Mimi girl Kriti Sanon,” says sources.

Vikas Bahl was to start work on a small project before he was accused in the #MeToo scandal. But once the courts decided that they had nothing against him, not only did he celebrate the success of Super 30 with Hrithik and Anand Kumar, but even thought of making a sequel at that time. By that time, he had already dropped an idea to do a small content driven film with a filmmaker from the south. And now with a film with Bachchan being a possibility, Bahl could make a shandaar return to Bollywood. We hadn’t got a response from anyone at the time of going to press.
