Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput held a handful of people close to his heart besides his immediate family members. One such person whom he considered to be nearest and dearest to him was Ankita Lokhande, his ex-girlfriend, co-star and best friend. The actor’s sudden demise led to a great deal of chaos in Bollywood, sparking the nepotism debate all over again, with Sushant’s father and others including Ankita rooting for #JusticeforSSR. While investigation into his tragic passing continues, Ankita has been working tirelessly to make one of his last wishes come true. And it’s the cutest thing we have seen today!
A few days ago, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to social media and requested her late brother’s fans to plant trees because it was one of his biggest dreams that he unfortunately was not able to make into a reality in his lifetime. Well, we all know that SSR had a list of dreams and one of the dreams was to plant trees. Shweta wrote, “Can we make this happen? Let’s do it for our Sushant! #Plant4SSR.”

Ankita was one of the first to jump onto the planting trees bandwagon. Soon after Shweta’s post, she was clicked by the shutterbugs as she headed out with her mother to buy plants. When questioned by the paparazzi, Ankita revealed she was joining Shweta to plant trees in loving memory of Sushant. In the video, Ankita can be heard saying, “Sabko message do, plants lagao. Sushant ki 50 dreams mein se ek dream yeh tha ki woh 1000 plants lagae aur yeh meine apne ghar se shuruwaat ki hai aur I hope sab plants lagae.” Sushant was vocal about the need to create an environmentally-friendly India. While he probably had a long wish list (just like we all do!), he must be smiling ear to ear from the heavens to see his planting dream come true!
