This year has been a big blow to the Bollywood film industry following the tragic deaths of multiple Indian cinema stars. Following the passing of Rishi Kapoor, Irfan Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput, Jab We Met actor Asif Basra left to his heavenly abode yesterday. The actor was allegedly found hanging in a private complex in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. “Forensic team is at the spot and police is investigating the matter: SSP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan. #HimachalPradesh,” wrote ANI. Echoing her sentiments, Khan, who shared screen space with Basra in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met, penned, “Rest in peace Asif Basra. Heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones.” He has also starred in several other big-budget films including Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Krrish 3, Ek Villain, Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday and Rahul Dholakia’s Parzania, among many others.
