In an industry where fashion trends are ever changing, celebs too adapt to the change and adopt their favourite trends. From bold hues, to subtle colour palettes, to fringed detailing, denim, neon hues, metallic dresses and statement jewellery; we’ve seen it all. Season after season designers and brands come out with the latest innovations in fashion and design. Leading ladies of Pakistani television and drama, Maya Ali and Sajal Aly have both been seen sporting some of the most covetable looks since last year and have also opted for a similar look in the recent past.
Metallic is not an easy trend to carry off but these divas have certainly nailed the trend. We’ve seen metallic outfits on a number of runways last year and a number of designers have also included metallic in their collections. With that being said, we decode two looks sported by Sajal Aly and Maya Ali in the recent past.
Sajal Aly
Earlier this week, Sajal Aly lit our screens on fire after sharing pictures of herself in a dazzling, metallic outfit which we’re assuming is a dress. The actor shared two images in which she is clad in a stunning metallic dress which features exaggerated shoulders and full sleeves. Both the pictures appear to be candid and Sajal Aly looks stunning to say the least. In one of the pictures, Sajal Aly can be seen looking down at her phone and we wonder whose text she could be reading.
In both the pictures Sajal Ali has picture perfect hair and we wonder how she got her hair to look so voluminous. Whatever she’s been using, we need it stat! Sajal Aly has always been the natural beauty with flawless skin but she has opted for a sultry makeup look to go with this number. She opted for a soft smokey eye and a thick liner with an overall bronzed look and rounded off the look with aa nude matte lip. Sajal Aly sure is making waves in this look and it seems she’s ready to head out after quarantine.
Maya Ali
Maya Ali is known for sporting some of the most versatile looks and has been part of a number of campaigns country-wide. She’s edgy, she’s sophisticated, and she knows just how to work any look. She too recently sported a metallic dress and we can’t decide which starlet rocked it better. It was during lockdown that Maya Ali took to her gram and shared a series of images of herself in a ravishing metallic number. For the look, Maya Ali was clad in a copper-hued metallic dress which looked more like a blazer dress. The dress featured thick lapels and quarter sleeves and she looked like a sight for sore eyes in her pictures.
Maya Ali let the outfit do all the talking and had her hair tied back in a loose bun but went all out with her makeup. She opted for a super smokey eye but with a twist. While a conventional smokey eye is created using black, Maya Ali’s look was created in hues of deep purple and we can’t stop swooning over this look. Her eye makeup was complete with a smokey lower line and a thick coat of mascara. With a nude lip and minimal accessories, Maya Ali made quite the statement!
