Berlin, Tokyo all set to return for Money Heist Season 5

If you still haven’t seen the hit Spanish crime drama, Money Heist, then what even did you do during quarantine? The famed Netflix show has officially been renewed for a fifth and final season and fans have been ecstatic since the news was announced. The fourth season was released earlier this year in April and now fans are awaiting the next season after season four ended with quite the cliff hanger.

The cast of the Netflix series is also set to return to the sets to kickstart season 5. After pictures of Pedro Alonso alias Berlin filming portions of the show went viral, Úrsula Corberó alias Tokyo revealed that she too would be joining her cast members. Corberó took to her Instagram story last week and shared a picture with the caption, “Today. Tokio is back. Wish me luck.”

A number of pictures of Alonso and Patrick Criado emerged on fan pages earlier this week and while it was previously speculated that Criado has boarded the cast as the new villain, many have also been left wondering if Criado is actually a new gang member.

For those unversed about Money Heist, it is a popular Netflix series globally which follows the story of a group of robbers who plot and implement “the most perfect robbery in Spanish history”, stealing billions from the Royal Mint of Spain. The robbery was followed by a second, masterfully executed heist involving the Bank of Spain in Madrid which came with hardships and tested the loyalty of all the team members.
