Beyonce Sharma Jayegi: Ananya Panday, Ishaan Khatter’s Song Slammed For Promoting Racism

Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter are among the two budding actors of Bollywood. The star children have been gradually climbing up the ladder and making a mark for themselves in the highly-competitive film industry. The two share a striking chemistry too and their recent big screen appearance proves just that. The teaser for the actor duo’s upcoming outing Khaali Peeli dropped some time ago and was appreciated by their fans and colleagues alike. Ananya and Ishaan have also been promoting their upcoming action thriller in full swing. However, before they knew it, both actors have landed in hot waters for a recently released song from the Maqbool Khan directorial.

 

 

The track titled Beyonce Sharma Jayegi has come under fire on grounds of sexism and racism. Furthermore, Ananya and Ishaan are also being slammed for starring in such a song. Netizens have alos targeted the makers of the song for racist implications. Some social media users have also taken it upon themselves to apologized to Beyonce via their posts. The lyric that has received ire is ‘Tujhse Dekhke Goriye, Beyonce Sharma Jayegi.’

One of Queen Bee’s fans posted, “Dear Beyonce, We are very very sorry for this, I am deeply ashamed by this behaviour of bollywood, its highly unacceptable and vile. love and respect, Indians.” Another added, “If someone tried to compliment me by saying ‘Beyonce sharma jayegi’ I would never see the person again.” A furious user questioned how Ananya can be compared to the legendary Hollywood artist. She wrote, “Ok first things first, comapring BEYONCEEEE to this struggler here? @ananyapandayy tch!!” Echoing her sentiments, a user added, “Beyonce honey, we are so sorry!” Khaali Peeli is all set to be released on a digital platform on October 2. The film marks the first time Ananya and Ishaan will be sharing the screen. It is a remake of the South movie Taxiwala. It has been co-produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Mehra.
