Burj Khalifa Lights Up For Shah Rukh Khan’s Birthday Once Again

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 55th birthday in full swing yesterday. While the who’s who of the Indian film industry took to social media and uploaded posts wishing King Khan, the city of Dubai lit up in his honour too. Often, we see the city’s iconic Burj Khalifa paying tribute to renowned personalities who have made a mark in the world, and this time it was for none other than SRK! The skyscraper beamed with the Raees actor’s name and a special greeting to mark his special day. The actor and his family are currently in Dubai for the ongoing Indian Premier League.

Shah Rukh owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. Sharing a picture of himself posing against Burj Khalifa glowing with a birthday wish for him, he wrote, “It’s nice to see myself on the biggest and tallest screen in the world. My friend Mohamed Alabbar has me on the biggest screen even before my next film. Thanks and love you all. Being my own guest in Dubai… my kids mighty impressed and me is loving it!”

The actor was accompanied by his wife Gauri, daughter Suhana Khan, youngest son AbRam and closest friend Karan Johar among a few others. Last year too, Burj Khalifa was lit up with the name of Shah Rukh Khan to honour the actor on his birthday. He shared a video of the iconic skyscraper back then and penned, “To my brother, the awesomely cool Mr Mohamed Alabbar and Burj Khalifa. Emaar Dubai. Thanks for making me shine so bright. Your love and kindness is unsurpassable. Wow! This is really the Tallest I have ever been. Love you Dubai. It’s my birthday and I’m the guest!” Shah Rukh has a total of 14 Filmfare Awards and was also presented with Padma Shri award by the government of India for his contribution to cinema in 2005. On the film front, he was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ alongside Anushka Sharma in 2018.
