The Burj Khalifa has been lit up for several occasions in the past, ranging from heartfelt tributes to late icons to birthdays of world-renowned stars. Last month, the giant tower paid tribute to Diego Maradona. The building featured legendary pictures of from his heydays of being the best footballer in the world, with 1960-2020 written below the images. Several spectators arrived to get pictures with and of the Burj Khalifa. In early November, the skyscraper beamed with Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s name and a special greeting to mark his 55th birthday. Referring to the same, SRK posted on Instagram, “It’s nice to see myself on the biggest and tallest screen in the world. My friend Mohamed Alabbar has me on the biggest screen even before my next film. Thanks and love you all. Being my own guest in Dubai… my kids mighty impressed and me is loving it!”
