Just days after Chrissy Teigen was admitted to hospital following severe bleeding, she has announced that her and John Legend have lost their baby. The model, 34, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news. Chrissy Teigen, who is an avid user of social media took to her Instagram account and shared the news with a lengthy post, announcing that their little boy, who they had named Jack, has died following a number of complications.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” she wrote in her post.

In her lengthy post, she also recalls how they went about naming their baby boy. “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”

The post, which has been shared and circulated numerous times on social media comprises five black and white photos from the hospital which show Chrissy crying on her bed as well as a shot showing her and John Legend embracing their son.

“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it,” she concluded her post.

Earlier this week, Chrissy revealed that she was on ‘serious bed rest’ due to bleeding and said she was ‘about halfway through her pregnancy’, which is around 20 – 24 weeks.
