“Chupke Chupke” has been on a winning streak, not only earning views, but winning the praise of Pakistani drama viewers for its light-hearted, non-stop entertainment. Starring Osman Khalid Butt, Ayeza Khan, Arsalan Naseer, Aymen Saleem, Asma Abbas, Tara Mehmood, Uzma Beg, Mira Sethi, Ali Safina, Farhan Ali Agha, Hira Soomro and others, the story has been written by Saima Akram Chaudhry and directed by Danish Nawaz. While “Chupke Chupke” airs each day, the audience is left waiting excitedly for each episode.
In episode 6, wedding preparations and celebrations are in full swing for Hadi (Arsalan Naseer) and Fazi’s (Osman Khalid Butt) weddings, but a speed breaker is hit on Hadi’s end when his fiancée calls him and informs him that she has had a secret court marriage. After overhearing this conversation, Mishi (Aymen Saleem), who is overjoyed, breaks into the room and makes the announcement, sending the family into a frenzy. While Gul (Mira Sethi) is overjoyed at Hadi’s misfortune, Bakhtoo (Uzma Beg) scolds her, telling her that while she doesn’t get along with Naik Parvar (Asma Abbas), she has a soft spot for Hadi and does not feel happy about his misfortune. Meanwhile, Hadi is missing in action and the family begins to worry. It’s really sweet to see how this family rallies around Hadi and cares for his happiness, particularly Meenu (Ayeza Khan), who is genuinely worried for her brother. The Meenu-Hadi bond is mostly Meenu being scolded, but one can see the bond of protection and worry there – and it’s really sweet.
This episode really brings out Gul’s uncaring, self-obsessed, inconsiderate nature as she not only takes joy in Hadi’s heartbreak, but also creates problems for Fazi’s engagement. Fazi has begun to bond with Samira, his fiancée, and sees in her his perfect woman, a woman who is education-driven, intelligent and well-read, along with beautiful. Unfortunately, Gul, Miskeen (Ali Safina) and Rumi (Hira Soomro) are as interfering as ever when they repeatedly make calls in the middle of his meeting when he’s been gone for two hours. Fazi has had quite enough of Gul’s meddling – along with his other relatives – and bursts in anger at Gul, telling her to mind her own business and let him live his life, something which he has never said to his family clearly.

While this dilemma continues with Fazi and his family, Mishi begins to plant ideas in Hadi’s mind, indicating that she’s an interested party. Fortunately, Hadi isn’t a dense character and picks up on the hints immediately. This is a storyline that viewers are very excited for, so it will be fun to watch this romance play out. Even more interesting is the Meenu-Fazi relationship. Where the story is at present, one can’t even imagine these two together in a romantic way and their lives are headed in opposite directions, so how will this pair come to be? It’s so difficult to praise one actor here, because the entire ensemble cast is just so good. Whether it’s Asma Abbas and Uzma Beg as the grandmothers, Osman, Arsalan and Ayeza as more “central” characters or Mira Sethi and Ali Safina as the troublemakers, everyone here is in full form. Danish Nawaz’s direction is excellent and Saima Akram Chaudhry’s writing just gets better with each episode. “Chupke Chupke” is a perfect family entertainer.
