Covid-19: Pakistani Stars Who Have Been Vaccinated

Senior citizens above the age of 60, frontline workers and high-risk individuals have been placed on the Covid-19 vaccination priority list in Pakistan. Those who do not fall under any of the aforementioned categories are of course not given preference and are denied the jab, particularly due to the low supply of doses in the country. Currently, Pakistan is administering the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine and the Russian-manufactured Sputnik to its citizens. A string of veteran showbiz personalities have already received the first and second dose. Here is a list of them:

Javed Sheikh

The Na Maloom Afraad star got the coronavirus vaccine at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi.

Talking to the media soon after, he said, “I feel very good after getting the vaccine. I feel safe.” He also encouraged other citizens to get vaccinated against the virus. Sheikh thanked the Sindh government for making vaccination arrangements for senior artists at the arts premises.

Behroze Sabzwari

Veteran actor Behroze Sabzwari also received the Covid-19 jab at the Arts Council’s vaccination centre. In a clip posted on the institution’s Instagram handle, Sabzwari praised the efforts of ACP President Ahmed Shah and the Sindh government.

Samina Peerzada

The 65-year-old actor took to Twitter and posted a picture of her getting vaccinated. She captioned it,

“Thank you and Shabash Pakistan.”

Talat Hussain

The yesteryear star also got his vaccination at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi recently.

Armeena Rana Khan

Even though she is way under 60, Armeena lives outside of Pakistan. The starlet received the jab in her host country. Taking to Instagram, she posted a video and wrote, “Just got my vaccine done! I’m so relieved and grateful. It didn’t hurt at all, it was super quick and the staff were super nice. Thank you.” Khan informed her followers that she got Astra Zeneca.

Bushra Ansari

While she looked a tad bit nervous in the video she uploaded, where she can be seen holding her chest, Ansari was super excited after receiving the shot. “yyyyyeeeee…I’ve done it!” read the caption of the clip.

Simi Raheal

She had a lot to say to her fans after getting vaccinated. Referring to it as a “simple, no fuss jab in the arm,” Simi added, “So far so good! Get yours done! #staysafe #2021.” She then shared an important piece of information with her fans. Simi wrote, “Will the Covid-19 vaccine alter and change my DNA? The idea that the coronavirus vaccines will change humans on a genetic level is one of the most common myths surrounding them. No, they will not alter or change your DNA in any way. Vaccines based in mRNA technology like Pfizer and Moderna merely use genetic material from the virus to send instructions to your body which help it to produce antibodies to fight the virus.”

Anwar Maqsood

The ace artist also got vaccinated at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi. He, too praised the efforts of the Sindh government as well as those of the ACP team.

Reema Khan

Currently residing in the United States, she also received the jab there. “Got the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine,” she captioned her Instagram post. Upon being asked by a user whether the vaccines are safe, she replied with, “Yes!” Another follower then asked her how effective they are, to which she replied, “95%.” The starlet then mentioned that she received the Pfizer vaccine, while encouraging everyone around her to not hesitate and get vaccinated at the earliest, in order to help combat this deadly pandemic.
