Desi brides-to-be take note! Hues of gold for your big day are the way to go

After months of social distancing, isolating at home and global lockdowns, the world has started to reopen. As things appear to be getting better on this side of the world, the festive season is upon us and wedding season will soon be in full swing. A number of weddings were put on hold as the lockdown was enforced earlier this year and many couples were not able to tie the knot as planned.

These couples either tied the knot in smaller, intimate settings or are now waiting to tie the knot as per their earlier plans. Weddings are now moving towards a different structure, with many adopting a more intimate setting, in a smaller location, with fewer and closer friends and family members. But that does not at all mean that the bride can’t still go all out on her big day and still dress the part despite it being a smaller event.

And with that being said, brides-to-be will be looking for inspiration on what to wear on their big day. From traditional hues of red and maroon, to the more festive palette of gold, the pastels and the icy hues, there’s so much to choose from. We however, have been transfixed by a particular hue of gold and we can’t seem to get our eyes off it. There’s nothing more festive than hues of gold teamed with the right jewellery and hair and makeup. A stunning picture of Ayeza Khan dressed in gold showed up on our news feed and it is the perfect bridal look in our opinion.

For the look, Ayeza Khan is clad in a shimmering gold ensemble from Annus Abrar’s latest bridal collection. The shimmering gold fabric is draped around the starlet oh so beautifully and is adorned with intricate gold motifs. The gold is set off with a maroon velvet trimming along the edges of the dupatta and sits perfectly on her head. Brides-to-be take note! If you’re opting for a gold hue such as this, then teaming it with gold jewellery would be preferable. The first rule is to always match your outfit with the same coloured metals. We love how Ayeza Khan has gone down the traditional route and worn a statement neck piece with a teeka, a jhoomer and even statement hand jewellery.

For brides opting for this look, the shimmery makeup look is the way to go. Metallic gold lids, a dash of gold as highlighter and a glossy lip to compliment the look like no other. This is also your chance to go heavy on the mascara to bring out the eyes on your big day.

Gold is a rather versatile colour that can be paired with and used in contrast with every colour. If you’re a bride to be, then take gold into consideration for the main reason that it can work so well with everything.
