Diwali 2020: Here Is Where You Can Watch The Best Firework Displays In Dubai

Cultural diversity, beautiful skyscrapers and generous hospitality of the people lies at the heart of the city of Dubai. The Gulf emirate boasts of a myriad of celebrations for important festivals around the year, ranging from Eid to Dlwali and Christmas among others. With the Festival of Lights right around the corner, the city will be lit with a plethora of firework displays over the weekend, being held at the Dubai Festival City Mall, Global Village and The Pointe. Here is what to expect when you head over to watch some of the most eye-catching shows around town. But before that, make sure to have your mask on and sanitizer in hand.  

 

Dubai Festival City Mall 

The venue is all set to host a record-breaking light, laser, fire and fountain show. It will take place every evening at 6:30pm until Saturday, November 21. The show will tell the story of Hathi’s Garden, a heart-warming story of a baby elephant’s adventures across India, as well as a rendition of global Hindi pop hit Jai Ho. You do not want to miss it! 

 

Global Village 

Like every year, Dubai’s Global Village will be celebrating Diwali with a bevy of performances, live shows, food stalls and fireworks. While most people gather at Global Village primarily for the fireworks, the show is scheduled to kickstart at 9pm on Thursday November 12 and the following day. Visitors will also get to see the ‘Absolute Bollywood’ show which will feature 16 dancers performing on Global Village’s main stage. The ‘Lights, Camera, Action… Bollywood!’ show will take guests behind the scenes of Indian cinema’s biggest movies. If you are a Bollywood fan like us, this is where you need to be today!

The Pointe 

The world’s largest fountain, The Palm will perform a specially-curated show to the song Malhari by Vishal Dadlani from the hit 2015 Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani. The special Diwali show will commence at 9pm on November 13. Moreover, anyone dining at The Pointe can also enjoy a whopping 25% off on special Diwali menus available at selected venues.
