Dubai’s New Media Academy Launches YouTube Programme for the Youth

The New Media Academy in Dubai — the first digital academy of its kind in the Middle East — has launched the Youth YouTuber Program, in collaboration with Nas Academy (Nas Daily Group).

A group of experts will be teaching content creation and distribution during this two-week summer programme, which aims to help educate the young participants on how to become full-time content creators.

Five identical courses, including three in English and two in Arabic, will be conducted online, with the first one starting from 26th July 2020. Those interested in attending the courses can register on newmediaacademy.ae

Each course will accommodate up to 20 students to ensure that all participants receive individual attention from the instructors. The main topics which will be covered during the masterclass include:

The curriculum has been designed by a group of digital marketing and social media experts to help the younger generation successfully launch their online careers and contribute original video content from the Arab world. Attendees will be receiving guidance on filming and editing videos, and sharing these across various social media channels.

The YouTuber Program is in line with UAE Vision 2021, which focuses on developing the skills of youth in the UAE. Speaking about this, CEO New Media Academy, Rashid Al Awadhi said, “With this initiative, we are telling the youth that we believe in them and that we trust their abilities to become responsible content creators. We believe in their dreams of becoming full-time content creators and we will help them make this a reality.”

An Emirati initiative, the New Media Academy aims to provide a range of courses on the latest trends in digital media.
