Dunk Episode 25: Haider’s Supporters Grow And Amal’s Lies Begin to Unravel

“Dunk” fans can rejoice! The show has finally regained momentum and is moving in an exciting direction. After weeks of dragging, today’s episode finally showed Haider’s “army” assembling, getting ready to support Haider in his fight against Amal. Starring Bilal Abbas Khan, Sana Javed, Fahad Sheikh, Azekah Daniel, Yasra Rizvi, Tara Mehmood, Laila Wasti, Shahood Alvi, Saife Hassan and many others, “Dunk” has ben directed by Badar Mehmood and written by Mohsin Ali Shah.

In episode 25, Amal (Sana Javed) finds that it’s becoming difficult to cover her tracks, telling more lies to cover up her initial one, particularly after her father (Saife Hassan) realizes Haider (Bilal Abbas Khan) has been granted bail. This revelation leads Safeer (Fahad Sheikh) to the police station, where he discovers Amal was aware of Haider’s release. Safeer has been struggling with himself for a while now, torn between his wife and his brother – and doing what he believes is the right thing. However, this is becoming more difficult as after confronting Amal (and Amal laying on a guilt trip for not trusting her), Safeer feels something is amiss.

Meanwhile, Minaal (Azekah Daniel) tries to meet with Haider, but Sultan informs him that he isn’t home – and no longer wishes to meet with her. The relationship between Minaal and Haider is strained now after Minaal’s reaction to Amal’s accusation. However, while Minaal didn’t take Haider’s side immediately, it’s also true that Haider never bothered to confide in MInaal. He never trusted her enough to tell her the truth – and this is why Minaal has been upset with him. Both have valid reasons to be upset with each other, but when Haider eventually agrees to speak to her, the two sort out their differences and Minaal declares that she will fight on Haider’s behalf. The Haider and Minaal relationship is a great one, because it shows the importance of trust, honesty and respect in a marriage – and the fact that these things have to be worked on and don’t simply exist. Bilal Abbas Khan is wonderful in this episode, as is Azekah Daniel, both sharing wonderful chemistry that shines even when the two aren’t standing anywhere near each other.

“Yun Tu Hai Pyar Bohat” Takes Off On a Positive Note

Professor Anjum (Tara Mehmood) and Saira also offer their support, letting Haider know they will stand by him in this fight. Saira, Professor Anjum, Minaal, Sultan, Zafar and, most importantly, Saba will now be seen fighting against the injustice Haider has faced at the hands of Amal. And this fight is not only for Haider alone – they are also standing for Professor Humayun, a man who lost his life and dignity due to Amal’s lies and slander. This is a story about righting wrongdoings, fixing mistakes and misjudgments and seeking true justice for both the living and the dead. Many found this story potentially problematic when it began due to its message which defends the victims of false allegations. But what “Dunk” has shown us is that those who are accused of acts they haven’t committed are exactly that – victims. And at the end of the day, we should fight to defend the innocent.
