Emily In Paris to get second season?

Hit Netflix show, Emily In Paris fast gained momentum and has become one of the most polarising TV shows of 2020. Emily, who is played by Lily Collins, is a social media marketer who moves to Paris from Chicago for work and has the most exciting experience in the French capital at the age of 24. From donning the fabulous Parisian fashion, to being in the midst of the who’s who in the fashion industry, Emily makes you want to be her, even if just for a moment. With season one done and dusted, fans are eagerly waiting to know if the show will return for a second season.

The show premiered on the platform less than a month ago, which is why it is hard to determine what path it will take, but what we do know is that it was a big hit with the audiences and now fans most certainly want more. In an exclusive interview with E! News, creator Darren Star hinted at the possibilities. “I don’t know about season two yet but I think Emily has some surprising tough choices,” he said. “The show’s so much about the culture undermining her expectations of how things are and how things seem. And everything will not be as it seems. It’s always about challenging her American worldview. We certainly have a lot of forks in the road and a lot of places to go to,” he went on to add.

We wonder if Emily will be given the choice to head back to Chicago and bid farewell to her glamorous new life in Paris. We think this could totally be a possibility. The cast is all geared up for another season and wouldn’t pass on the opportunity. “We’re really hoping to get the green light for season two,” Collins told Harper’s Bazaar previously. Meanwhile, Lucas Bravo, who handsomely played Gabriel, told Cosmopolitan that season one “planted a few seeds” for future storylines — namely that the love triangle between Emily, Gabriel and his girlfriend Camille. One thing’s for sure though: Emily might not be as naive in season two. “She’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city,” Star said. “She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there.”
