Leading actor of famed Turkish drama series, Dirilis Ertugrul, Engin Altan Duzyatan, has gained much recognition and popularity, not just in Turkey but across the world. Pakistanis especially have been following the show religiously and have a growing fondness for the show and its actors. And now, Engin Altan Duzyatan is all set to meet with his devoted Pakistani fans, in Pakistan come October.
“Engin Altan Duzyatan has finally confirmed his much-awaited visit to Pakistan,” the oraganisers of the event said over the weekend. During the visit, Engin will head to three major cities in Pakistan during his visit including Islamabad, the capital, Karachi and Lahore. The organisers of the event further stated that they will host question-and-answer sessions on stage.

The blockbuster show aims to highlight and educate audiences about the Ottoman history and gained much recognition in Pakistan and Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir after PTV telecast the show dubbed in Urdu. Within the first few days of the show’s telecast, the actors saw a surge in their fan following. The show is oftentimes referred to as the Turkish version of Game of Thrones and also sheds light on the struggles of Ertugrul Gazi, the father of the empire’s first leader.
