It has been confirmed, albeit accidentally, by Fast and Furious actor Michelle Rodriguez that the upcoming film, F9: The Fast Saga is all set to send its crew up into space, according to a report published in a leading Indian daily. Earlier on, the actor’s co-star, Ludacris, hinted at the possibility but it remained unclear at the time.
Michelle Rodriguez had come on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show, on which he was asked about Ludacris’s claims to which she responded, “Oh, no way. How did you guys find that out? See what happens? People start talking behind the scenes, man,” she said. “When a movie doesn’t come out… things get out. Nobody was supposed to know that!”
Rodriguez will be playing the role of Letty and confirmed that her character won’t be in those scenes. “Oh, well, no, I’m not, I’m not, I’m not lucky enough to hit space, but we did get a female writer and showed a lot of love, I think, on this one. Thanks to…Justin Lin. We were able to, to find a little bit more attention and love for the girls in the movie. And so I’m really hopeful that shows through in the final product.”
The host, Julia Cunningham had told Ludacris, “I don’t even know creatively what they could come up with to wow us even though I know they do every time. I’m like, space has to be involved, submarines, I don’t even know. In my mind I can’t imagine what happens in the next movie.” To which Ludacris responded, “You just said something very important. I will say that you are very intuitive, cause you said something right, but I’m not going to give it away.”

As fans gear up to see the Fast and Furious characters in space, Tom Cruise is prepping to actually make a movie in space which will make it the first of its kind.
