(Everyday I wake up to look at my daughter with immense love and patience),” he wrote. This was followed by “Lekin ab us men behad khof bhi shaamil hogaya hai.(But now immense fear has also lurked its way in) Sochta hun kya ye khof hamesha rahega? (I wonder if this fear will always stay with me?)” he went on to add. The celebrity shared the post with the trending hashtag #hangtherapists.

Following the motorway gang rape, a number of protests were held across the country to call for an end to this brutality that women face on a daily basis in the country. Protests also broke out after the Lahore police chief investigating the gang rape blamed the victim for travelling late at night without a male companion. So far, Pakistan police have arrested 15 people in connection with the incident, according to a report in AFP.

The woman was attacked at the end of last week when her car broke down on a motorway as she headed to Gujranwala with her children. As her fuel finished, she was left stranded and made several attempts to call for rescue. As she waited, a group of men smashed her window, dragged her out of the car and raped her in front of her children in a nearby field, the Guardian reported.

The men then fled the scene after robbing her of her jewellery and whatever cash she was carrying. Till now, not a single person who has been arrested was part of the group who conducted the attack.
