Written by Fasih Barih Khan, the Ahmed Bhatti-helmed directorial airs on ARY channel every Tuesday. It centers on the turbulent love life of Samia (Ramsha), who gets married to four different men at different points in her life. Packed with romance and hints of comedy, the TV serial is being lauded for its strong depiction of an unconventional story revolving around the life of a girl who struggles to have a loyal life partner. In a nutshell, marriage becomes a dreary and unfulfilling task for her. Twitter users have been appreciating the show for being relatable and bringing a matter experienced by many women but spoken about by very few to the forefront. A user applauded the drama for challenging cultural norms in the wittiest way. “Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat is such an amazing drama! I love how the bahu responds to saas and nand’s taanay in the exact same tone and is like, ‘I’m not going anywhere. This is my house too!’ No more ‘Mummy ye aap kya keh rahi hain??? Ashar mera yakeen karain’. We stand strong bahus,” wrote a user. Some cannot stop praising Ramsha’s acting in the drama serial either. “Good projects really make you a better actor. Twitter users also felt that Wajahat’s acting as Rizwan was overshadowed by Ramsha. “Wahaj is such an underrated actor. He deserves a show that focuses more on him.” A handful of them also expressed disappointment in viewers watching other dramas over Ghisi Pitti Mohobbat. “I hate it when there are dramas like Prem Gali and Ghisi Pitti Mohabbat and still Jalan and Nand are getting all the views and trps,” a user reacted, while another criticised the show for making generalisations about men and husbands. “I am so done with male leads doubting their wives or jumping at other girls at every given opportunity. Not everyone is like that. Every male character in Ghisi Pitti Mohabbat has been shown filthy or weak. This is too much. We need balanced stories.”
