Supermodel Gigi Hadid left her fans in shock when news of her pregnancy surfaced across social media earlier this year. Together with boyfriend Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid announced that the couple was expecting their first child together on the Jimmy Fallon show back in April. It has also since surfaced that the couple are expecting a baby girl due in the Fall, later this year. Being Gigi Hadid, you can be used to being in the news and making headlines, but this time around, Gigi Hadid is making headlines for the wrong reasons.
Gigi Hadid has been rather private about her pregnancy and is yet to post a picture of her baby bump. Over the weekend, British Vogue shared a story which was titled “Gigi Reveals How She Disguises Her Pregnancy”, which most certainly didn’t sit well with the supermodel. Following the story being shared a number of times, Gigi Hadid decided to set the record straight as the article is quite contrary.
The article was published following a Live Instagram session Hadid had in June in which she was seen speaking with a fan. During the session, she said wearing baggy clothes “make for an optical illusion.”
In response to the Vogue article, Gigi Hadid said, “Disguise…? I said in a baggy jumpsuit the front and side views are visually different stories – not that that was intentional or I was trying to hide anything, Will be proud and happy to share ‘insight’ when I feel like it, thanks.” She went on to add that, “ For now I am proudly experiencing and sharing this time with my family and loved ones.”
The model is currently in isolation with her family on their farm in Pennsylvania and has called the experience, “a silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it day by day.”
