Fans were left ecstatic when supermodel Gigi Hadid confirmed the news of her pregnancy in April this year. Gigi Hadid was reportedly 20 weeks into her pregnancy when the news was leaked, meaning that her due date could be any time in September. The news was also confirmed by her on-again-off-again boyfriend Zayn Malik. And now that we are halfway into September, fans are speculating that Gigi’s baby has in fact arrived. But how did they reach that conclusion?
None other than Gigi Hadid’s father, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, took to social media to share a touching note penned by him for his grandchild. Mohamed took to Instagram and briefly shared a few verses he’d written for his forthcoming grandbaby. The post has since been deleted and read:
“Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun & moon, I wish for you a happy time. Know that grandpa’s always here, I’ll do anything, anything for you, my dear.” The handwritten verse went on to read, “When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I knew my heart would always belong to you.”

Before Gigi Hadid’s father removed the post, he managed to respond to a frantic netizen, saying that Gigi had not yet given birth. How nice for this tiny baby, to have such a poetic grandpa with such lovely handwriting and such good intentions re: familial privacy! While many are arguing that the post could have just been a burst of pre-baby excitement, others are questioning why he would feel the need to delete it? As one Twitter user observed, “IT’S UNCLEAR STILL.”
Now while the grandfather to be removed his post, Gigi Hadid’s sister, Bella Hadid took to Instagram to share a cryptic post on her Instagram. In the picture, both sisters can be seen smiling while embracing their bellies, Gigi Hadid in a plain white dress and Bella Hadid in a pink top and a pair of jeans. “Two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn,” Bella captioned a photo of her and her sister, cradling their respective tums. “I Iove you both so freaking much — can’t stop crying,” she added.

Bella Hadid accompanied the post with a number of emojis including the welling eyes face, which made many fans believe that the baby was in fact here. Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been clear from day one about their intentions to keep the birth extremely private and requested the media for space to share the news “on our own terms”.
