Gul Sunn: Daler Mehndi Sings Praises For Ali Parvez Mehdi, Meesha Shafi Track In Heartwarming Video

Coke Studio’s latest season was a breath of fresh air for music lovers following a rather dull year due to the coronavirus pandemic. While the first episode of the music show was lauded by listeners and met with a bevy of positive reactions on social media platforms, the second installment was no different. Three tracks were unveiled as part of the latter, with Ali Parvez Mehdi and Meesha Shafi’s Gal Sunn being appreciated most for knocking it out of the park with their latest offering. Bollywood singer Daler Mehndi has now sung praises for the two artists in a heartwarming clip, the footage of which was shared by Ali on his Instagram handle.

“I am so happy. Ali Pervez Mehdi has crooned a great song for Coke Studio. Meesha Shafi has also done an amazing job with Gal Sunn,” Daler started off by saying. He then shared how he has been waiting for years for Ali to release a song. With his prayers finally answered, Daler added, “I’ve been waiting for years now for Ali to come out with a song in the music industry. I really hope that Ali’s voice reaches the masses and gets the attention and recognition it truly deserves.”

Daler mentioned he has always been a big fan of Ali’s father, the late Ustad Pervez Mehdi. He mentioned how both Ali’s father and grandfather would be really proud of him today. “We were always in awe of his father, Ustad Pervez Mehdi and just like me, I’m sure other fans of Ali’s father must be happy today to see how well his son is carrying his name forward. I wish Pervez Sahab was alive today to see his son’s success.” He then asked his fans and followers to listen to the latest Coke Studio number. Responding to Daler’s clip, Ali reposted it on the photo-sharing platform and captioned it, “Such an honor @thedalermehndiofficial pa ji! You are family to us! Can’t thank enough for your love and support stay blessed always! Love you!”
