Hrithik Roshan Has Reportedly Auditioned For His First Hollywood Film

When actors conquer international waters – no matter which film industry they may belong to – they always feel this sense of pride and accomplishment. And why not? While they are always praised for their performances in their home country, it must be a surreal feeling to be lauded in a foreign land. Be it Bollywood’s leading ladies Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra or successful men like Anupam Kher and the late Irrfan Khan, they have all been blessed with the opportunity to expand their wings and explore Hollywood through various international projects. The latest actor to have reportedly jumped onto the bandwagon is none other than Hrithik Roshan, according to a Hindustan Times report.

The Krrish star is allegedly being eyed to star in a spy thriller in Hollywood. He has apparently auditioned for the role. Earlier, Hrithik had signed up with the US agency, Gersh, indicating that he was looking towards working overseas. The upcoming project is reportedly backed by a reputed production house.

“As is customary in Los Angeles, Hrithik’s team was given details of his role in the movie and the scenes that he had to tape. He sent his audition to the studio two weeks ago. The discussion is at a nascent stage. If all goes well, the actor will kick off the project after completing the shoot of Krrish 4,” a source revealed to Mid-Day. His team, however, has denied having any information regarding the latest development. “Hrithik has always been an envelope pusher. For the last 20 years, Hrithik has been helping to drive Indian cinema into new genres, new narrative concepts and ever-more sophisticated storytelling. He is excited about the fact that the market for global content, which features characters and stories from other parts of the world, couldn’t be stronger than it is today,” his manager Amrita Sen said following his signing deal with Gersh.
