Jemima Goldsmith, Shekhar Kapur’s Romantic Comedy To Hit Floors Next Month

Jemima Goldsmith has enthralled audiences time and again with her British TV, film and documentary releases. She also owns her own production company, Instinct Productions, a London-based content company specialising in high quality TV drama, documentaries and film. In latest news, Goldsmith is all set to produce her next project, an upcoming romantic comedy under her production banner, reported Dawn. Interestingly, she will be collaborating with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur on the forthcoming venture. The director is known for the superhit directorial Mr India and Dil Se among others. And now, we cannot wait to see what the duo has instore for us!

 

The film is titled What’s Love Got To Do With It? And will mark Kapur’s directorial return since his 2007 Oscar-winning production Elizabeth: The Golden Age, reported Deadline. A star-studded cast has been brought on board for the movie, which is expected to hit production floors next month. No release date has been locked in yet.

What’s Love Got To With It? will star Lily James (Baby Driver), Shazad Latif (Star Trek: Discovery) and Emma Thompson (Beauty And The Beast). While not much has been revealed about the plot, the movie is supposedly set between London and South Asia, exploring cross-cultural conflicts of love and marriage. Goldsmith has also written the script for the film. Also producing are Nicky Kentish Barnes (About A Boy) alongside Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan. Goldsmith’s producer credits include the upcoming American Crime Story, last year’s The Case Against Adnan Syed and 2018 drama The Clinton Affair. What’s Love Got To With It? marks her narrative feature debut.
