Johnny Depp’s Fans Gripped With Plans To Boycott Fantastic Beasts 3. Here Are The Top Reactions

A huge blow to Johnny Depp’s acting career, the Hollywood star was recently asked to step down from his much-awaited role in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film, after losing the high-stake libel trial against British tabloid The Sun’s publishers. He made the announcement on his Instagram handle, revealing that Warner Bros. studio had asked him to leave his role as the villain, Gellert Grindelwald. “I have respected and agreed to that request,” he said in a statement. Warner Bros Studio mentioned that Depp “will depart the Fantastic Beasts franchise,” adding that his role would be recast. The Pirates of the Caribbean heartthrob thanked his fans and well-wishers for supporting him through thick and thin.

 

He added, “I’d like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days.” He then mentioned that he is planning to appeal, adding, “Finally, I wish to say this. The surreal judgement of the court in the UK will not change my fight to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time. Thank you for reading. Sincerely, Johnny Depp.” It seems like most of the social media world is on Depp’s side, with millions of his fans planning to boycott Fantastic Beasts 3.

 

 

 

 

 

Other Depp supporters are also gripped with plans to boycott Aquaman 2 if Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard stars in it. “I’ll totally boycott Aquaman 2 if there’s still Amber Heard. And I’ll boycott, too, Pirates of Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts if there’s no Johnny Depp,” wrote one user. Another added, “The worst think ever to see. The innocent Johnny Depp loses his role as Grindelwald while the abuser Amber continues as Mera. Injustice of 2020.”

 

One fan expressed disappointment in Warner Bros, adding, “Aquaman 2, actually. No one is going to be able to do what Depp did.” The micro-blogging site has been filled with dozens of similar posts which read, “Everyone boycott fantastic beasts series #JusticeForJohnnyDepp.” Taking a dig at Rowling, a user mentioned, “Boycott the next Aquaman movie since Amber Heard is there. Boycott the next Fantastic Beasts not only because of Warner Bros firing Johnny Depp but also because of JK Rowling being transphobic. No Johnny Depp, No Fantastic Beasts 3. Jumping onto the bandwagon, a Fantastic Beasts fan wrote, “Alright, so because Johnny Depp was fired from Fantastic Beasts 3, all in favour to boycott the film till they bring him back? Grindelwald can only be Johnny Depp. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp #AmberHeardIsALiar #BoycottFantasticBeasts.” One more user lashed out at the supposed injustice being done to Depp, saying, “So anyways, I’m gonna boycott Aquaman 2 and Fantastic Beasts 3. Amber Heard can star in Aquaman 2, yet Johnny Depp has to resign from fantastic beasts? #JusticeForJohnnyDepp #BoycottFantasticBeasts #BoycottAquaman2.” A handful of internet users argued there is a lot of proof to show Heard is an abuser. “Warner Bros forced Johnny Depp to leave his role in Fantastic Beasts. Amber Heard is still in Aquaman despite petition with 500,000+ signatures. There is loads of evidence to prove Johnny Depp is innocent and Amber Heard is the abuser.
