Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is not one to shy away from saying it as it is. The star has always kept fans updated with her daily shenanigans, be it her film projects, motherhood or her family vacations. Kareena gave birth to baby Taimur – who is already loved by many across the globe – three years ago. While Bebo has been extremely open about the way in which she and husband Saif Ali Khan play their parts in raising Taimur, the couple recently made headlines when they announced they are expecting their second child. While she gained quite a bit of weight prior to the arrival of Taimur in this world, she has now weighed in on her second pregnancy journey.
“Last time, I just took myself for granted and became huge. I put on 25 kgs. I don’t want to do that. I just want to be healthy and fit,” she said, referring to the nine months she carried Taimur in her womb. “I think the first time, it’s just excitement. Everyone’s like, ‘Parathe khao, ghee khao, doodh piyo. The besan ke laddoos just keep coming,” Pinkvilla quoted her as saying.

Kareena disclosed that her doctor revealed that “eating for two” while expecting is a myth. “Now, I’m like, ‘Listen, I have done it before, I know what my body requires. My doctor’s like, ‘Listen, you are not eating for two… that is just a myth. Just be healthy and be safe.’ And that is what I am trying to do.” When asked whether Taimur is excited about having a sibling to play with, she said, “He is very ahead of his age. We never treated him like a kid. We treated him like an equal and adult. He is a giving boy and he is ready,” she shared. Earlier, when the pair broke the happy news in an official statement to their fans, the wrote, “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family! Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support. Saif and Kareena.”
