Journalist Hasan Kazmi first broke the news on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Taking to his profile, he wrote, “Kubra Khan and Gohar Mumtaz are working in an upcoming Pakistani film #Abhi (working tiltle). The 15 days long first spell has already been shot in #AzadKashmir. Both have so far tried their best to keep this secret from the #media.”
Khan recently made headlines when it was announced that the Pakistani blockbuster film Parwaaz Hai Junoon, in which she starred alongside actors Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir and Hania Aamir, is all set to hit the cinemas in China on November 13, 2020. Produced by Momina & Duraid Films, Parwaz Hai Junoon has become the first Pakistani film in over three decades to be commercially released across mainland China. Khan is also known for her work in TV projects including Sang-e-Mar Mar, Alif Allah Aur Insaan, Muqabil, Shaadi Mubarak Ho, Andaz-e-Sitam and Laal. Mumtaz, on the other hand, is popular for his ever-flourishing singing career. Having founded the rock band Jal back in 2002, he has surely become a force to be reckoned with.
