Similarly, just recently, rumours were circulating which stated that a film on the life of legendary Pakistan pace bowler, Shoaib Akhtarf was in the works. While cricket fans were excited by the news, the former bowler has now made it clear that there is no film that is being made on his life.
Shoaib Akhtar was forced to take to social media to announce that the news was untrue after reports emerged saying that a biopic was being made about him.
Both Shoaib Akhtar and his manager Taha Sadaqat, took to their social media accounts to clarify that the news was indeed untrue. “All the news doing rounds about the film based on my life is not true. All this information is incorrect. No cast or actors have been decided or under decision. If and when this happens, it will be informed by me,” the former cricketer penned on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, his manager tweeted, “All the news doing rounds about the film based on Shoaib Akhtar’s life is not true. All this information is incorrect. No cast or actors have been decided or under discussion. If and when this happens, it will be announced and informed.”

Shoaib Akhtar remains to be one of the most legendary cricket players in Pakistan. He has played for the country in 46 Tests matches, where he took 178 wickets at an average of 25.69. Akhtar has also featured in 163 ODIs and claimed 247 wickets at an average of 24.97. As far as his international career is concerned, the 45-year-old picked up 19 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 22.73.
He also continues to hold the record for the fastest delivery ever bowled, which was clocked at 161.3 kph (100.2 mph) during Pakistan’s match against England in the 2003 World Cup.
