Mahira Khan pays tribute to Khirad on Humsafar’s 9th anniversary

We love a good old throwback, and today, Mahira Khan decided to take her followers on a trip down memory lane. In Mahira Khan’s throwback of the day, the Raees actor penned a heartfelt note about one of her earlier works and about her most iconic characters which made her rise to fame; Khirad, from Humsafar.

 

The starlet, who is an avid user of social media, shared brief snippets from her life changing serial, Humsafar, and the post was accompanied with a heartfelt caption to mark nine years since the show aired.

“What is there left to say that hasn’t already been said?” Mahira Khan questioned as the opening statement of her caption. “Maybe that’s the thing about Humsafar – there is always more to say,” she said in response to her own question. Her post really gives her fans and followers the true essence of the emotional attachment she has to the show.

“Khirad is by far my most special character. She loved fiercely, she gave whole heartedly and when it came to her self respect -she held it closest to her heart. What a woman,” she said of her character in the hit TV serial. “But like I always say.. Humsafar is beyond all of us who made it. It’s all of yours. This safar, this journey is nothing without all of you.. who have kept the magic alive for 9 years. Always grateful.. always yours, I love love love you all,” she concluded, and signed her post off as Khirad.

 

In the post, Mahira Khan has shared some of the most iconic and most memorable parts from the show which serves as a reminder to all her fans about how this show made her one of the most loved celebrities of the industry. While the actor has many a time received flak for her acting skills, or lack thereof, it would be an understatement to say that playing the role of Khirad didn’t put Mahira Khan at the centre of the industry and the among the highest ranking actors the country has seen.
