Meera Admitted In Mental Asylum In The United States: Reports

Late Wednesday evening, reports of Pakistani starlet Meera being admitted in a mental asylum in the United States, made headlines. Various media outlets claimed that the Baaji star was forcefully sent to a psychiatric centre in New York after she got into a heated brawl with a doctor. Meera had allegedly visited the doctor for a routine checkup after running a temperature following receiving the Covid-19 vaccination. Meera’s mother Shafqat Zahra confirmed the news, stating that she got a call from her daughter who informed her that the US police was sending her to a mental asylum, irrespective of Meera repeatedly telling them that she was not suffering from any mental health conditions.

As per reports, Meera demanded VIP protocol when she went to the doctor’s clinic and kept flaunting her star status during the entire time she was there. According to insiders, she continued to disrespect the doctor despite several warnings. In a video circulating on the internet, Meera’s mother can be seen appealing to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan and minister Sheikh Rasheed to bring her daughter back home. She also reasoned that Meera has visited the United States multiple times due to her Green Card.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with The Express Tribune, Meera’s manager claimed otherwise. Muhammad Qasim mentioned that Meera was safe and at home, while also refuting the reports regarding her ill-health. According to him, Meera’s mother was creating a ruckus due to a personal dispute. Back in April 2020, a video of Meera claiming she was stuck in NYC made the rounds on the internet. The clip showed her addressing PM Imran Khan, once again requesting him to help her return to Pakistan. Later reports suggested that the incident was staged by Meera, adding that she was not stranded in a hotel in the US but was in quarantine with her husband Captain Naveed Pervaiz. Sources also claimed that it was not a hotel but Naveed’s house.
