Mirzapur MP wants ban on Mirzapur 2

If there’s one show that’s been the talk of the town, it is none other than Amazon Prime’s hit show, Mirzapur. The show has been embroiled in controversy since the beginning and now, Anupriya Patel, the Apna Dal MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district, has demanded a ban on Mirzapur 2, over ‘spreading ethnic disharmony’.

The show just dropped on the platform and the MP has alleged that the series was maligning the image of Mirzapur by portraying it as a “violent” region, according to news channel News18. Speaking to the channel and other reporters, she said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mirzapur “is a ‘centre of harmony’ and the matter must be investigated and strict action taken against those responsible for sullying its image”.
