Momal Sheikh, Sonya Hussyn stun in shades of blue and green this Eid

Eid is always a fashionable affair and more so this time because with months of being indoors and not going out, the only thing we wanted to do was dress up and take pictures. Celebrities, socialites and fashionistas dresssed up in their festive best and everyone’s sartorial game was on point. From solid block colours, to feminine cuts and pastel hues, Instagram became the forefront for all the fabulous Eid looks we saw this Eidul Adha.

Everyone made an effort to dress their best and strut their stuff. This Eid also ushered in a range of new trends that we will most certainly be seeing all the way through till the end of the year and possibly into the year 2021. Hemlines are longer, colours are bolder, we’ve seen a lot of pinks, sheer fabrics, lots of hair accessories and lots of floral embroidery. With that being said, we bring our focus on to two starlets who have been taking our blues away in their Eid looks; Momal Sheikh and Sonya Hussyn.

Momal Sheikh is an avid user of social media and often takes to her Instagram account to share her fashion forward looks and glimpses of her life and her family with her fans. And this Eid was no different. She took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures, some with her family, some alone and some with her husband and son. For one of her Eid looks, Momal Sheikh was clad in a stunning cobalt blue colour and we can’t get our eyes off this striking colour. The ensemble looks light and easy breezy, perfect for the summer heat.

It features a peshwas style kameez with matching pants, as well as a dupatta in the same colour. The kameez features a lace trimmed edge which gives the outfit a feminine feel. The dupatta is adorned with embroidered leaves and a border and the back features a cutout; baring some skin. The Yaariyan actress teamed her look with a pair of plain silver khussas and a pair of silver jhumkas. For her hair and makeup look, she opted for something simple; keeping the heat in mind. She had her hair styled in a sleek middle parted bun and opted for a natural makeup look and a nude lip. We love the statement a bold colour can make!

Meanwhile, Sonya Hussyn too managed to make quite the statement in a similar look but with a lighter colour. Sonya Hussyn opted for the other end of the colour spectrum and her Eid look was inspired by all things mint green. Taking to her Instagram account, the actress shares a series of pictures of herself in a mint green number by Asim Jofa and left heads turning. The chiffon ensemble featured a long peshwas which had a rather low back.

The peshwas also featured rather long slits on either side, giving the outfit some structure. The peshwas was teamed with a pair of loose-fit pants with organza detailing and the kameez was complete with dainty buttons along the bodice. With an embroidered bottom, Sonya Hussyn’s look was complete with a pair of glossy nude heels. She further accessorised with a pair of contrasting turquoise earrings and mint green nails.

For her hair and makeup look, Sonya Hussyn opted for two looks. A bouncy blowdry, which she then tied back into a chic bun and we think the hot and humid Karachi weather is to blame. She opted for a soft smokey eye makeup look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a pink tinted pout. The perfect Eid look we think!
