Mushk 24: Adam Brings Shayaan Closer To A Reunion With Mehak

“Mushk” has really taken off, delivering exciting episode one after the other. Starring Imran Ashraf, Urwa Hocane, Momal Sheikh and Osama Tahir in lead roles, this drama has been written by Imran Ashraf and directed by Aehsun Talish. With Adam and Shayaan finally coming face to face in the last episode, the story has really gotten moving in an intriguing direction.

There’s a beautiful scene in episode 24 where Adam’s mother comes to visit Guddi (Urwa Hocane). At first, Guddi is concerned that she will be scolded, but she soon realizes that Adam’s mother is as kind-hearted as Adam and she states that she will stand by Guddi’s side and defend her and Adam’s love. She also, kindly, makes it clear that she sees Mehak’s actions as selfish. It’s wonderful to see someone stand up for Adam and Guddi, considering Mehak’s family continue to see Adam as Mehak’s fiancé. On the other end, Dr. Rana (Raja Haider) falls prey to Chotay Malik’s (Hassan Ahmed) “revenge,” but does not go down without having the last word. He gets under Chotay Malik’s skin, making sure he absorbs the fact that though he has killed him, Dr. Rana has killed his “ghairat” through his relations with Zulekha (Zara Tareen). High on energy and anger after this exchange, Chotay Malik threatens Munna (little Sami Khan) and has him inform Guddi (Urwa Hocane) that Adam has met with an accident. This is, obviously, a trap and Guddi is locked in a room as Chotay Malik waits for sunrise when he can have his nikkah with Guddi. Guddi, however strong, is unable to escape from this room and is seen silently waiting for daybreak for her next move.

The highlight of the episode are the scenes between Adam (Imran Ashraf) and Shayaan (Osama Tahir). As Shayaan feebly asks Adam how Mehak is, Adam angrily tells him that he’s left her as a corpse. Shayaan narrates everything he’s been through, leaving Adam shocked – but not shocked enough to tell Shayaan that he’s still a criminal for marrying a 13 year old girl. Adam has strong principles and it does not matter what type of duress and blackmailing Shayaan was under, he cannot get on board with Shayaan agreeing to this match. Still, he sees the sincerity in Shayaan’s love and his genuine shock upon hearing he has a child and helps Shayaan leave this world behind. Shayaan, finally having the support he needed to take this step, strapped with the knowledge of having a child and knowing where Mehak is, gathers his family together. He apologizes to Masooma for what this family has done to her and hopes she will be able to forgive him, which will allow God to forgive him. He divorces Masooma, which sends Muqaddar Khan (Aehsun Talish) to what appears to be a heart-attack. His wife sends Shayaan away, saying she will take care of things. Adam and Shayaan successfully escape as Shayaan looks forward to reuniting with his son. It’s a relief for viewers to see Shayaan arrive safely at Adam’s house, the two men awaiting daybreak so Shayaan can meet Mehak and his son. This has been a moment viewers have been waiting for since the beginning of the show, a reunion between Mehak and Shayaan. Regardless of how weak or how dim Mehak has seemed, her reunion with Shayaan has always been an exciting plot point and the audience is now only an episode away from it. Osama Tahir performs exceptionally well in this episode and it brings a smile to the face to see how excited he is to reunite with his family.

Fitoor Episode 5: Hiba Bukhari and Wahaj Ali Play Lovers Torn Apart

Episode 24 was fairly eventful and is finally bringing the story closer to its conclusion. Osama Tahir’s performance is the strongest in this particular episode as Shayaan grapples with his emotions. The next episode will see Shayaan’s return announced to Mehak by Munna while Guddi refuses to marry Chotay Malik, declaring her love for Adam during their nikkah. With Adam coming to save Guddi, how will Chotay Malik react to all this? Will he harm Adam? It’s certain that episode 25 cannot come soon enough.
