“Mushk” is closing in on its finale with episode 25 being the second last episode. Starring Imran Ashraf, Urwa Hocane, Momal Sheikh and Osama Tahir in lead roles, this drama has been written by Imran Ashraf and directed by Aehsun Talish. The last slate of episodes have been particularly action-packed and have left viewers wanting more each week.
The highlight of episode 25 is when Shayaan (Osama Tahir) and Mehak (Momal Sheikh) finally come face-to-face. Arriving at her home, Shayaan is greeted by Munna (little Sami Khan), who happily brings Shayaan inside, running to tell Mehak about Shahmeer’s father’s arrival. This pair has been apart for the entire show, their scenes together only seen in flashbacks, and so this has been a moment viewers have all been waiting for. Understandably, the reunion is bittersweet with both feeling a variety of emotions at once. While Shayaan is overjoyed to finally be reunited with Mehak and his son, his feelings quickly begin bouncing to shame and then to anger at Mehak’s reaction at not allowing him to hold his son. Mehak is a highly irritating character, insecure and jumps to conclusions, but in her head, she has done the right thing, because her husband “cheated” her. And so, it’s not surprising that despite her happiness, she suddenly takes several steps back in mistrust – and even after hearing Shayaan’s side, she feels as though she doesn’t want to be taken for a ride again. Of course, Shayaan sets things straight by telling Mehak that Adam, the man who everyone trusts, has brought him there. Hearing this, Shayaan, Shahmeer and Mehak are reunited in a happy moment, one that pushes Mehak to take a decision she has been putting off for a long time – telling Dada Ji the truth. But of course, it’s just not that easy for this duo. As soon as Mehak sets out to knock on Dada Ji’s door, she’s interrupted by Munna, who informs her of Chotay Malik’s deeds. Osama Tahir is brilliant as Shayaan and it must be said that Osama Tahir is an actor that we’ve been seeing on our screens for some time, an actor who has slowly improved with each performance, building up his reputation of being a good actor. But this time, he really hits the ball out of the park with his expressions. Shayaan is a wonderful character and it’s Osama Tahir’s performance that makes him all the more endearing. Momal Sheikh does a good job as well – again, while Mehak is not a likable character, one still finds themselves rooting for her happy ending and it’s easy to understand why she reacts this way in this very moment. This reunion was everything the audience has been waiting for.
On the other end, Adam (Imran Ashraf) gets news of Guddi’s abduction from Munna and runs off to save the day. Guddi (Urwa Hocane) may have been caught by Chotay Malik (Hassan Ahmed), who is a real creep of a human being, but she’ll never allow herself to fall under someone else’s control. She not only rejects Chotay Malik during the Nikkah, but makes it clear she’ll only belong to Adam – and then proceeds to cut her wrist to escape being Chotay Malik’s “possession.” Unfortunately for her, Adam bursts into the room immediately after this act and is rushed to the hospital by him. Adam spends a lot of time in the car in this episode, running from place to place and the title of “savior” on this show is strictly for Adam – and really, well, he deserves it, because he is not only a lovable character, but he also has been written to play a part in almost every story in some way. Imran Ashraf takes on this responsibility wonderfully. There are no two ways about it, he’s simply a gem of an actor and “Mushk” only goes to show that he can easily play hero in the “masala,” action-hero sense of the term.

Episode 25 is a brilliant one, one that really leaves an impact and sets the stage for the finale. There’s a moment between Roshni (Sehar Khan) and Saqib (Raza Talish) where Saqib is seen apologizing for his actions, while Roshni finally is able to state all the things she’s wanted to say to him after his betrayal. This scene leaves its impact and is bittersweet – if this is the last we see of the duo, Roshni has her closure. But it could also lead the way to forgiveness, so we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. Adam has admitted to himself that he loves Guddi and is ready to accept her wholeheartedly – but is Guddi aware of this? It seems as though there will be a dramatic love confession in the finale. And how will Dada Ji react to the news of Mehak and Shayaan? Will “Mushk” give viewers a truly happy ending, something we’re generally starved for?
