NAPA graduate claims to have been selected for Amazon Prime project on Sushant Singh Rajput

A recent post by a graduate of the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), Hasan Khan was making rounds on social media, in which he claimed that he would be working on a project based on Sushant Singh Rajput’s life and will be aired on Amazon Prime. Taking to his social media earlier this week, he revealed that he would be playing the pivotal role of the late actor.

A collage can be seen in his post, in which a picture of him can be seen alongside that of Sushant Singh Rajput and he wrote a caption stating, “Alhamdulillah got a project which is really close to my heart, playing Sushant Singh Rajput’s character for @primevideoin.” A number of news outlets covered the news and these reports were also shared by the NAPA graduate on his social media.

The university too congratulated the actor saying, “We congratulate and wish good luck to our very own NAPA graduate Hasan Khan on being selected for this project.” The post has since been deleted.

A conflicting statement released by the platform however claims that no such project has been commissioned and Amazon Prime is not hiring Khan, or anyone else for that matter, for any project pertaining to Sushant Singh Rajput.

As per the statement, “Amazon Prime Video has not commissioned or licensed any project on the late Sushant Singh Rajput with actor Hasan Khan or for that matter with anyone else.” Following their statement, Hasan Khan has replaced ‘Prime Video’ with ‘Indian Web’ on his post.
