Famed rapper and music artist, Nicki Minaj has given her fans the best news that they’ve been waiting for, for quite some time now. The Starships singer took to her Instagram account last night and shared the news of her pregnancy in a series of posts. With a staggering 119 million followers, the rapper left social media abuzz, with many fans and followers reposting her pictures and pregnancy announcement.
The first picture from the series of pictures shows the rapper clad in a bikini with her stomach on display and yellow hair. The 37-year-old can be seen cradling her baby bump and the picture was captioned with “Preggers”. She can also be seen with whimsical eye makeup and a tonne of accessories in the fun shot.
The following pictures from her series feature Nicki Minaj in colourful costumes adorned with beads, frills, tassels and chains; all of which are accompanied with huge platform heels. Each shot shows Nicki Minaj in an over the top, dramatic makeup look with each receiving millions of views, likes and reshares. In the third post, Nicki Minaj has captioned the post, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement and gratitude. Thank you for all the well wishes.”
Nicki Minaj’s announcement comes almost a year after she mentioned that she wanted to retire from the music scene to start focusing on starting a family. The famed rapper also tied the knot with Kenneth Zoo Petty last year; the year the two dressed in Bride of Chucky costumes for Halloween, and left fans shocked.
