Nimra Ali Claims Getting Death And Assault Threats Even After Apology

Nimra Ali became a social media sensation overnight. On being noticed by internet users this month after uploading a video in which she expressed her excitement about being featured on television, many supported and lauded her confidence. However, Nimra landed herself in hot waters soon after. She recently appeared on a recent TV show where she was asked to replicate one of actor Sajal Aly’s scenes from the Pakistani serial Aangan. She was instantly called out by netizens for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments. “Gandhi, Nehru, Matam Manao, Hindu ki maiya mar gayi,” was the dialogue she was asked to recite. As many came out to condemn Nimra, she posted an apology immediately after the episode.

In response to a tweet posted by Kapil Dev, Nimra penned, “I am so sorry @KDSindhi Sir, I was just copying a character done by @Iamsajalali (One of my favt. actresses) , didn’t want to hurt you or anyone from #Hindu community.” Kapil’s post read, “It was fun watching Nimra, but she, like many other ignorants, does know that 5 million #Hindus live in #Pakistan. She is a kid, but not the anchors. They should’ve corrected her when she said “Hindu ki Maiya Mar Gayi” rather than clapping on her jingoistic remark. #PakistanForAll.” Another user criticized Nimra, stating, “This one is the correct example of when people just know how to speak instead of what to speak.”

However, there were a handful of them who stood up for Nimra, arguing that she was just copying a character from a drama and there was nothing more than that. Now, the social media star has taken to Twitter and disclosed that she has been receiving multiple death and rape threats, even after her public apology. “Even after my apology, I am continuously getting abuse, death even rape threats from some sick mind people in my DM. @KDSindhi Sir, can you please guide your community? #NimraAli,” shared Nimra, addressing her post to Kapil. The messages are filled with profound and disgusting language. Kapil responded saying, “Nimra, both these are Indian accounts. These seem to be fake as well. But their words are highly deplorable. No Pakistani Hindu can say such abusive words. These abusive words by whosoever are highly condemned. We have already appreciated your quick apology. Just block these idiots.”
