Police Arrest Man Who Organised Ertugrul Star Engin Altan’s Trip To Pakistan, Cite Fraudulent Behaviour

Acclaimed Turkish actor Engin Altan Düzyatan recently paid a brief visit to Pakistan. The star, widely known for his role as Erutgrul Ghazi in the famous period drama Dirili?: Ertu?rul, arrived in Lahore last week and held a press conference during his trip. Following his departure, news surrounding the organiser of the trip has now been making the rounds on the internet. According to a report in The Express Tribune, Kashif Zameer has reportedly been involved in fraudulent activities over the past few years. Zameer, who gained popularity following his videos on TikTok, has now been arrested by the Lahore police.

He has allegedly been charged with threatening to kill anchorperson Hamad Aslam. Police also arrested Zameer’s armed accomplices. The accused also resisted the police, revealed the publication. Following his arrest, the police officials learnt that Zameer has a record of criminal history and is said to be involved in eight ongoing cases. According to police sources, serious charges have been registered against Zameer, including fraud, betrayal of trust, car theft and robbery.

Zameer was also pictured seat next to Düzyatan during his press conference in Lahore. Earlier, the police arrested a man for disguising himself as a beggar in Sialkot, with initial reports revealing that he was a TikTok star too. He was begging in a neighbuorhood when the police got suspicious and arrested him. After the police washed his face, the young man’s face became visible. Police said that they recovered US dollars, UK pounds, and Saudi riyals from the impersonator. The police has disclosed the person’s name as Yasir.
