Prem Gali Episode 24: Misunderstandings Continue As Hamza And Joya’s Resentments Grow

What “Prem Gali” doesn’t have in action, it has in emotion. Despite the episodes being slow-paced in the story moving forward, each episode does manage to impart some wisdom and several scenes are laden with great dialogues while others put a smile on one’s face. Starring Farhan Saeed, Sohai Ali Abro, Saba Hameed, Uzma Hassan, Shamim Hilaly, Qavi Khan Waseem Abbas and others, “Prem Gali” has been written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed.

Episode 24 continues on its rampage of misunderstandings. Shireen (Saba Hameed) faces off with Manzoor (Javed Sheikh) again, telling him to stay away from her daughter. Manzoor seems to be a very likable, reasonable man and informs Shireen that he has never tried to take Joya away from her, nor does he want to now. However, Hamza (Farhan Saeed) sees Shireen leaving his office and complains to Joya. Joya (Sohai Ali Abro) was not initially for moving out, but she overhears Shireen talking about Manzoor, but believes she’s talking about Hamza, she misunderstands and believes Shireen is trying to break up her marriage. This gives her the push that makes her decide she and Hamza need their own place. Salman is also fed up of his mother’s meddling, along with wanting his own space, so Hamza (Farhan Saeed) gives him advice to find his own place. Salman is not particularly willing, but decides to look into it, not realizing Hamza is out to find a place for himself.

Hamza actively begins looking for places and, in the process, Salman is spotted by Haatim (Wasim Abbas) and ratted out to his mother. This causes chaos in Salman’s life and becomes a means of gossip for those in the neighborhood. Hearing this, it’s clear that by running away, Joya and Hamza’s good image in the neighborhood will fall under scrutiny and become a heavy piece of gossip. As the two begin their preparations, Luqman (Abdullah Farhatullah) finally sees the pieces falling into place and realizes that he misunderstood Mussarat’s (Uzma Hassan) words. He is overcome by his mistake in judgement and realizes he has been misunderstanding Joya and Hamza’s relationship all along. On her end, Mussarat realizes she hurt Shireen and apologizes to her as well. It’s interesting to see that just as the families are beginning to understand the errors of their ways, it’s too late and Hamza and Joya are on their way out of their lives.

Prem Gali Episode 23: Hamza and Joya Make An Important Decision

Family interference is a real-life problem and it’s one that’s made so much more intense when two households are living under one roof. Both Hamza and Joya’s families are equally as interfering and melodramatic, so it makes things difficult for this new couple. But what impact will their decision have on the family in the aftermath of their escape? That’s something that will be difficult to watch. There isn’t any one prominent stand-out performer in this episode, but Qavi Khan does an excellent job as Dada Ji. He is a legendary performer and always makes his mark in every scene. It will be difficult to see this happy, close-knit family in tatters in the next episode.
