Princess Beatrice ties the knot in secret ceremony

The coronavirus pandemic brought to a halt a number of weddings, events and planned gatherings. Going into lockdown meant that everything had to be either cancelled or postponed and with no end in sight to this pandemic, it has been difficult to say when everything can go back to normal and when we can start planning again.

Browsing through our Instagram feeds we saw that some didn’t hold back and opted for smaller, more intimate weddings and engagements so they could go on to live their happily ever after. Just recently, Pakistani starlet, Sarah Khan tied the knot with her beau, social media influencer Soraya Bakhtiar too tied the knot in a very private setting and now, congratulations are in order for Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who tied the knot on Friday morning in a secret ceremony.

The news was confirmed by Buckingham Palace, post wedding. The small, private wedding ceremony took place at 11am at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor. The guestlist included only 20 of their closest family and friends, including Beatrice’s grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh.

“The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11am on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government guidelines,” the statement read.

Great news for the couple as they were initially set to marry on May 29, but their plans were stalled due to coronavirus concerns.
