Actor Priyanka Chopra is undeniably a global icon. On Tuesday, PeeCee announced that she is all set to star in a romantic drama with singing powerhouse Celine Dion. According to Deadline, the two ladies will share screen space in an upcoming project titled Text For You, alongside acclaimed actor Sam Heughan. Priyanka will reportedly take on the role of a woman who deals with the tragic loss of her fiancé by sending heartfelt and romantic messages to his old cell number.
“It turns out, the phone number has been reassigned to a man across town suffering from similar heartbreak. The two meet and feel an undeniable connection, but can’t seem to leave the past behind,” reported Deadline, adding, “the music and influence of Dion gives them the courage to take a chance on love again.” The film is a remake of the 2016 German-language movie SMS Fur Dich and will be helmed by Jim Strouse.

The sequel will also feature Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris in titular roles. Priyanka is also currently working towards her quarantine release – a memoir titled Unfinished. Speaking about it earlier, she said, “I would put on some soft music and just delve into the time of life I was writing about. My partner (Nick Jonas) is one of my greatest pride and joys. He is a true partner in every sense.” She disclosed that the memoir will comprise details of their wedding, love story and her life before and after tying the knot with Nick.
