Priyanka Chopra, Meghan Markle and Michell Obama to come together at virtual Girl Up Leadership Summit

Priyanka Chopra and her bestie, Meghan Markle, are all set to reunite at the Girl Up Leadership Summit. The Girl Up Leadership Summit, which will be held as a virtual event invited Bollywood actor, Priyanka Chopra as a guest speaker at the summit. The Bajirao Mastani actor took to her Twitter account to share the news.

“No matter their background, girls have the power to transform themselves, their communities, and the world around them. Join me for the virtual 2020 @GirlUp Leadership Summit, July 13-15 with some of the top female leaders! Get your tickets http://GirlUp.org/Summit #GirlsLead20,” she penned in her tweet.

Together with Priyanka Chopra, other key speakers at the virtual event will include former First Lady Michelle Obama and Meghan Markle. 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad, Facebook COO?Sheryl Sandberg and actor Jameela Jamil are also going to be on the panel.

From what we know so far, Meghan Markle is all set to give the keynote speech at the summit and Michelle Obama will say a special word or two. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra will be taking part in a Q & A session while Sheryl Sandberg will be giving a talk on equality and female empowerment. Other stars who will also be involved in the summit include Chloe x Halle, Storm Reid, Jameela Jamil and Bebe Rexha.

The organisers of the conference had earlier said how honoured they were to have Michelle Obama involved with the conference where she will be representing the Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance, a scheme which seeks to use education to empower adolescent girls around the world.

“We’re honored to have Mrs. Obama with us at our summit this year. The impact she has made in this country, and around the world, is deeply inspiring and motivating to our girl leaders -she’s a role model for using your voice.” Girl Up’s executive director, Melissa Kilby, said last month.
